Gabriel Illingworth
Environmental Manager
Gabriel is based in Washington, D.C. where he serves as Environmental Manager and Noise and Vibration Specialist. He oversees all environmental components of the D.C. Water Clean Rivers, First Street Tunnel Project. Gabriel develops environmental management and pollution prevention plans, oversees noise and vibration control and monitoring, and designs water treatment systems as necessary. He ensures compliance with federal and District of Columbia legal requirements regarding erosion and sediment control, stormwater pollution prevention, contaminated water and hazardous waste management. Prior to his assignment in D.C., Gabriel gained extensive experience in heavy civil construction projects for KES, with tasks such as soil profiling and disposal management, pre-demolition abatement for asbestos-containing materials and stormwater pollution prevention practices. Gabriel has a BS in Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and a slew of certifications and training, including: Erosion and Sediment Control Certification, Registered Professional Engineer with the D.C. Board of Professional Engineers and Hazardous Materials Manager in Training from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management.
